Dear Art Agony – Public service for helping artists in need

2.55pm – Thinking Zone

Presented by Prostor Plus (Croatia)

Dear Art Agony is thought of as an area occupied by passersby for collective, out loud thinking/writing, in the public space, about all of those problems, obstacles and resistances artists repeatedly encounter during their production processes. The objective is to test the thesis of art as a practice of thought.

It is a participatory, relational piece dedicated to art practitioners, art lovers, audience and art wannabes.

Credits: Nikoleta Markovic completed doctoral studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade (on the theme: Participative economies and protocols of Image – It Takes Two to Image). Her recent activities revolve around experiments with workshop setting and art production process as auto-didactic models. She is interested in the politics of relations (with audience, society and state) established by art production processes and evolving artistic positions.
